Felton Road New Zealand Winery of 2025

International wine reviewers have named Felton Road as the New Zeanld winery of 2025 - marking the second year in a row it has won this award.

Felton Road has once again been named Winery of the Year New Zealand 2025 by The Real Review. Based in Bannockburn, Central Otago, Felton Road has long been recognised for its biodynamic practices and exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This year’s recognition highlights the winery’s continued refinement and consistency, with its latest releases praised for their balance of elegance and power.

The judging panel, led by Master of Wine Stephen Wong, noted that Felton Road’s wines stood out in blind tastings for their concentration and aging potential. The winery’s commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture, spearheaded by viticulturist Gareth King and winemaker Blair Walter, has been central to its success.  Their meticulous vineyard management—tending over 130,000 vines—has allowed them to adapt gracefully to climate shifts while preserving the finesse of their wines.
